Children First is an accredited Children’s Mental Health Centre and Infant and Child Development Program specializing in services for families with children from birth to age six who have developmental and/or mental health challenges.

Professionals We Employ:
Administrative Assistants
Resource Consultants
B.A. in social service or education field and/or community college diploma (ECE, CYC), previous experience working with children from birth to age six with developmental delays and psychosocial challenges. The position’s duties are carried out in the early childhood settings with some time spent in the office.
Social Workers
Psychologists
Occupational Therapists
M.O.T. or equivalent, CAOT Certification, registered or eligible for registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
Speech-Language Pathologists
Masters degree, registered or eligible for registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario.
Child Life Specialist
Successful completion of Child Life Certification exam through the Association of Child Life Professionals and Certified Child Life Specialists Credentials.
Child & Family Consultants
Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education, Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Care, or Bachelor of Social Work (or related health, education, or social service field), with experience working with children from birth to age six in community, caregiver home, and early childhood settings.
