Circle of Security Parent Training (COSP)

Circle of Security Parent Training (COSP) is a welcoming and supportive program designed to strengthen the bond between you and your child. Instead of focusing on strict behaviour techniques, COSP offers simple, relationship‑based tools that help you better understand your child—why they act the way they do, and what they need from you in those moments. Through COSP, you’ll learn new ways to connect with your child, build trust, and create a strong, secure relationship that lasts. Many caregivers also find that these skills make daily parenting feel more enjoyable and fulfilling.

FRIENDS Resilience

FRIENDS Resilience is a fun and supportive program designed to help young children (ages 4–6) learn important skills for handling big feelings, coping with stress, and getting along well with others. Children and their caregivers attend groups at the same time, each learning simple, age‑appropriate tools that can be used at home, at school, and in everyday life.

Some of the things children learn in the program include:

  • Naming and understanding their feelings
  • Relaxing their bodies and calming their minds
  • Turning “red thoughts” (unhelpful thoughts) into “green thoughts” (helpful ones)
  • Breaking tasks into small, manageable steps
  • The overall goal is to build children’s confidence, strengthen their emotional and social skills, and help them bounce back when challenges come their way.

Know & Grow Talks

Please note: Zoom Rooms are no longer being offered and have been replaced with Know & Grow Talks.

The Know and Grow Talks is a Children First group that provides a supportive space for families to learn, share, and grow together. Each group session is guided by your input; through short surveys, we find out what topics matter most to you and tailor our discussions to support your family’s needs. Whether it’s preparing for school, building routines, or navigating big feelings, we’re here to grow together!
